My Little Cub Scouts

 

Carter and Cooper have been begging us to get them their scout uniforms since the day they turned 8, that was like 7 months ago, we finally did it!! They love scouts, it's so fun to see them come home on Tuesdays after school so excited for scouts! They had the blue and gold banquet this month so we all got to go with them.

 

As part of the banquet they had each scout make and decorate a cake, so these are pics of them decorating it. I think they did a pretty good job! Carter even got a little icing on his hair in the process.

Here is Coop with a little bear paw on his head, Carter had one to but was to embarrased and wiped it off right away. They are good boys and it's fun watching them grow and get into different activities. I can see our lives getting crazier and crazier from here on out!

A turn face??

 

Can you believe that this post is actually about Campbell and not Claire? It is. Campbell is the funniest little boy ever. He keeps us laughing all day long. (I have to admit that he is also my most difficult and frustrating child, is that how it always goes?) The other day I was going to get us some always delicious taco bell for lunch. Campbell overhead me asking Billy what he wanted and he chimed in with "I want a turn face." We were baffled, what the heck is a turn face. So I asked him and he explained (and demonstrated) to me that its the thing you have to turn your face to eat, A TACO!!!!
That is just one of the many funny things he has said recently. He is really into quoting movies right now and its hilarious. SOmetimes I can't pinpoint the movie it's from but I know it's from a movie. He has the same crazy memory as his dad! The movie quotes started with him telling me "I'm not myself today" it took a while but I figured out that one is from cloudy with a chance of meatballs. A few other movie lines he favors are:
"Squid Launcher, OH YEAH!" -Despicable Me
"Mr. Perkins, your son is here" -Despicable Me
"How did we do today girls?" -Despicable Me (can you tell which movie we have been watching lately?)
"DId you hear that?" -Elf
" Have you always wanted a career in nursing, Stevens Henager" -Stevens Henager commercial (technically not a movie but pretty stinkin funny)
That's all I can remember right now, he definitly did not get his memory from me!

I love that when I wash Claire's hair it is so curly and cute, it looks like she has a litle baby perm! It takes about 2 minutes to dry then it is standing straight up again! I was trying to hurry and snap these pictures so I could remember how curly it was but it was already half way dry. I'm not sure why but she was really happy once I started taking pictures, I love it!

Seriously Claire??

What is going on with your hair??? I love it soooo much, it is out of control and I can't get over it! All my other kids have been baldies so this has been pretty fun. There is really no styling it but we have figured out that she doesn't NEED a headband to wear a clipie!!
